Large-Scale Community Service Program Strengthens Connectivity in Alor Through Bridge Development

ALOR, East Nusa Tenggara — June 6, 2026 – The implementation of the Indonesian Army’s (TNI AD) Large-Scale Community Service Program in Alor Regency continues to show positive progress. On Saturday (June 4), the construction of a connecting bridge between Adang Buom Village and Motombang Village was carried out in Buono area, Adang Buom Village, Teluk Mutiara District, Alor Regency. The bridge construction is one of the priority programs of the TNI AD Large-Scale Community Service initiative aimed at improving transportation access and community connectivity.

During this stage of the work, TNI AD personnel together with local residents carried out the concrete casting of the bridge foundation. A strong foundation is an essential part of bridge construction, as it functions to support the structure’s load while preventing settlement, shifting, or collapse caused by external forces such as wind and earthquakes.

The bridge, which is planned to measure 14 meters in length and 3 meters in width, will later serve as the main access route connecting Adang Buom Village and Motombang Village. The presence of this bridge is expected to facilitate community mobility, support economic activities, and improve access to social services for residents of both villages.

The construction activities involved 15 TNI AD personnel consisting of members from Kodim 1622/Alor and the Large-Scale Community Service Task Force. The work was also supported by bridge construction workers and local residents who actively participated in mutual cooperation efforts to accelerate the completion of the project. Activities in the field were coordinated by Bridge Coordinator, Second Lieutenant of Infantry (Lettu Inf) Matias Modok.

Commander of Kodim 1622/Alor, Lieutenant Colonel of Engineering Corps (Letkol Czi) Arya Darma, S.T., expressed appreciation for the spirit of togetherness demonstrated by TNI AD personnel and the community during the bridge construction process. According to him, the synergy and mutual cooperation established during the project have become the main strength in ensuring the success of the TNI AD Large-Scale Community Service Program, so that the benefits of the development can soon be enjoyed by the people of Alor Regency.
