Bore Well Project in Selat Duda Reaches 85 Percent Completion, 70 Families to Benefit

KARANGASEM – In an effort to help overcome the community’s difficulty in obtaining clean water, the Task Force of the 128th TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa (TMMD) program of Kodim 1623/Karangasem, led by Task Force Commander Lt. Col. Inf. Gurbasa Samosir, is accelerating the construction of a bore well in Selat Duda Village, Selat District, Karangasem Regency.

On Saturday (16/05/2026), the bore well construction activity carried out by the TMMD 128 Task Force of Kodim 1623/Karangasem entered its twenty-fourth day, with progress reaching 85 percent.

Company-Level Unit Commander (Dan SSK) of TMMD 128 Kodim 1623/Karangasem, Captain Inf. I Wayan Sadra, stated that the bore well construction is one of the TMMD 128 programs aimed at improving the quality of life of the community. The facility will later be used by 70 households in Selat Duda Village, Selat District, Karangasem Regency, to meet their daily clean water needs.

“We hope that through the construction of this bore well, the people of Selat Duda Village, Selat District, will have better access to clean water and improve their quality of life,” he said.

“At present, the drilling process has reached a depth of 85 meters out of the planned 100 meters. Hopefully, the drilling process can continue smoothly so that the community can enjoy the benefits as soon as possible,” he concluded.
